Gustavo Lisboa

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Politics at New York University (NYU), focusing on political theory. I am interested in how political systems can be both legitimate and stable given the existence of deep disagreement, including, crucially, disagreement about the status of democracy itself. I argue this requires citizens to have robust exit rights (e.g. subsidized emigration, or the right of secession).
